This Privacy Policy explains how Flint AI ("Flint AI", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Flint AI mobile application (the "App"). By using the App you agree to these practices.
Flint AI is intended only for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17.
Flint AI does not require an account, name, email, or phone number to use its core features. We process the content you choose to submit, which may include the text you type (situations, pasted messages, tone selections, and your chats with the AI wingman) and screenshots you upload for analysis. If you buy a subscription, Apple processes the payment and shares limited transaction data with us to unlock features — we never receive your full card details.
We may collect limited technical data to keep the service working and improve it, such as device model and OS version, app version, coarse usage events, and crash/diagnostic logs. This is not used to identify you personally.
We do not sell your personal information or use your content for advertising profiles.
To generate responses, the text and screenshots you submit are sent to third-party AI providers (for example, OpenAI) acting as our processors, which process your input transiently to return a result. Under their applicable API terms, content submitted through the API is not used to train their models by default. See OpenAI's policy at openai.com/policies/privacy-policy. Aside from these processors and providers strictly needed to run the App (hosting, crash reporting), we do not share your content with third parties.
Screenshots and text you submit are used only to produce the insight or reply you asked for. Our servers process these requests transiently and do not retain the screenshot or message content after the response is returned. Please avoid uploading highly sensitive information.
Your wingman chats and the memory the wingman builds are stored locally on your device, not on our servers. You can clear your chat history and reset the wingman's memory anytime in Settings. Deleting the App removes this local data. See our Delete Your Data page.
We retain automatically collected technical/diagnostic data only as long as necessary and then delete or anonymize it. Content you submit for AI processing is not retained after your request is answered.
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and California CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because most of your content lives on your device, you can exercise many of these rights directly in Settings. For anything else, email support@flintai.app. We do not sell or "share" personal information as defined under California law.
We use reasonable measures including encryption in transit to protect your information; no method is completely secure. Your information may be processed on servers outside your country, including the United States, with appropriate safeguards where required.
The App is not directed to children under 17 and carries a 17+ rating.
